In September 2009, my husband Richie and I moved to Istanbul, Turkey, from Dublin, Ireland.
We’ve been in Turkey for about two and a half years, and it’s been a life-changing experience so far; life-style adaptation, cultural exploration, self-discovery, making new friends, and lots of teaching experience, among other things!
We’re now a family of three with our son Liam who was born here in Istanbul in September 2011. He’s had a rather exotic start in life, being born in Asia and travelling to Europe when he was a day old, and already an international traveller having visited our families in Ireland and the USA. If he keeps going at this rate, he’ll be a real world traveller! Now we’re expecting Baby Number 2, so the excitement and changes will keep on coming!
Anyway, the future is sure to be full of more surprises, fun and life lessons. I look forward to keeping you posted on all our upcoming adventures.
